Dr. Uebbing received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Columbia University and then her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Pace University. She has taught at New York University for the Nurse Practitioner, Medical Clerk, and Public Health programs for 4 years. She received her Doctoral degree in Nursing recently at Pace University.
She has been at Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC) for 7 years and has taught in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Her classes include Physical Assessment, Adult Health 1 and 2, Clinical Practicums, and one online RN-to-BSN class.
She defines hybrid learning as a fusion of classroom and online activities. She has experience using the learning management system (LMS) Blackboard, as well as Moodle, in her teachings.
She believes that eClass is beneficial in that it is paperless and that it can be accessible pretty much anywhere. The ability to easily upload and display course images and animations has helped her students gain a deeper understanding of the course material.
Dr. Uebbing often utilizes online forums in her courses to foster communication on course topics, as well as providing a large repository of videos, animations and relevant course materials to give her students all the tools for success in her challenging courses. She is always looking for new ways to utilize new technologies to enhance her courses and improve student engagement.
